OUR STORY

       Close to the birth of her first grandson Louise Cormier, founder of Bullou & Cie, was seeking for a meaningful and original gift to offer to this little treasure of life. She browsed on the Internet to find few options. However, her search left her with empty hands. Louise wanted to create something practical with wonderful designs. Drawing inspiration from her previous work with Cirque du Soleil, she reinvented the "cushion" and the traditional baby “quilt”. Adding her own personal touch, Louise created the “Louise bubble quilt” now called the “Bullou”.

       These lovely, fluffy cushion-quilts are both practical and beautiful. Adding her personal touch, she created a new twist to a traditional quilt. At the baby shower, all the guests were dazzled by this unusual article and word spread very quickly. Louise, stimulated by so much praise and encouraged by all, had just found her new job.  Thus was born Bullou et Cie. (contraction of the words “bulle” for Bubble Quilt and “Lou” for Louise) just weeks before the baby’s arrival. ​Passionate, dedicated, creative and endowed with a modern and esthetic sense, Louise designs and manufactures all the products offered by the company.

       She benefits from the help of her husband Paul-Émile, an ingenious and helpful man who uses his imagination to constantly improve the process and the product. Their collaboration allows them to cover all facets of the business. Together, they are an unparalleled team to respond quickly to your needs.

       Louise’s mother, Gisèle (in her eighties), also crafts the Bullou & Cie quilts with love while Louise’s daughter Laurence captures the beauty of each product. Family and love are the essence of this company.
